Gymnastics

Morgan Hurd is a four time member of the Women's National Team, first joining the senior team in 2017. She is an incredibly strong all-around gymnast, and many would argue one of the front-runners for Tokyo 2O2ONE, especially after her performance at the American Cup in 2020 where she took all-around gold. Morgan is also the 2017 all-around World champion. She is a very decorated gymnast from her success in her career as a gymnast for the USA.

Some other accomplishments include:

• Five time Worlds medalist

• Three time FIG World Cup all-around champion (Milwaukee 2020, Tokyo 2019, Chicago 2018)

• Member of the 2019 gold medal winning team at the Pan Am Games in Lima

• Member of the 2018 Pac Rims team where the USA took home team gold and Hurd brought home silver all-around

• Selected to be a part of a documentary by the Olympic Channel following her journey to the Olympics along with Angelina Melnikova of Russia and Chen Yile of China

Personal

Morgan Hurd was born on July 18, 2001 in Wuzhou, China. She was adopted at 11 month old and moved to Middletown, Delaware. Morgan lives with her mother, Sherri, who put her in gymnastics at the age of 3.

In her spare time she enjoys hanging out with her friends, reading, and shopping, and is a big fan of the Harry Potter series and Marvel movies.

Morgan graduated from high school in 2019. She committed to the University of Florida to join the women's gymnastics team, along with fellow National Team Member, Riley McKusker. Morgan deferred until after Worlds 2021, so plans to start at UF during the 2021-2022 school year.

Morgan is one of few elite gymnasts to compete wearing glasses, making this her signature look!
